Winter Storm Update 2/21/2026

This seems to be the Winter of Wonky Weekend Weather. Meteorologists tell us we’ll get a little bit of light snow early Sunday morning “snowballing” into heavier snow in the afternoon. What does that mean for St. Paul’s?

Our plan as of 10:15 Saturday morning is to go forward with plans for Sunday worship, including a reception of new members at our regularly scheduled 10:15 worship service.

However, it seems prudent to postpone our scheduled Annual Meeting and Potluck until next Sunday, March 1. We have told our renter not to put away mats after today’s karate classes, but to wait till next weekend to do that. (It takes a bit of work to convert our fellowship hall from a martial arts studio into a banquet hall).

Our apologies to anyone who already made a side dish or dessert to bring to the annual meeting.

We hope to see everyone for worship at 10:15 Sunday morning, but we urge everyone to monitor the situation themselves and to exercise caution in traveling.

Longest Night Service

Several local UCC churches are gathering at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ. on Sunday afternoon, December 21 at 4 PM for a Longest Night Service.
The Longest Night candle-lit service offers, gentle space for honesty, healing, and hope. It honors the reality that not everyone feels Mary and bright, and reminds us that God’s like meets us, even in our deepest fears and our deepest darkness.
All who are seeking the quiet piece of God during this high energy season are invited to come and worship.
Whether you come for yourself or on behalf of someone you love, you are welcome to rest, breathe, and be held by a community of compass. There will be quiet, meditative music led by harp and guitar.
